Question
If you dislike some of the new ribbon environments for hatches (or if the interface slows down), below your specification PC then this variable can be tweaked to revert to the classic AutoCAD interface for hatching, ie the 'old' creation and editing dialogue box.

HPDLGMODE Set to 1 (setting to '2' reverts to the default setup) Which is Hatch and Gradient dialog box is not displayed for HATCH and GRADIENT when the ribbon is active (RIBBONSTATE = 1). When the ribbon is inactive (RIBBONSTATE = 0), the Hatch and Gradient dialog box is displayed.
Setting to '0' gives you command line options only unless you specify a dialogue."
