I was recently tasked with providing a solution that required the copying of designs based on the folder structure. Although Vault technology is based on the linking of files by hierarchy, where Inventor files are typical of parent-child relationships, it seems that users in some disciplines have to maintain both folder structure and design-file independence. There are also occasional issues with Vault’s Autoloader dependence on requiring Administrator rights to use the tool.
You may find it interesting to note that this solution does not use either Vault’s Copy Design or Autoloader!!
