Configure AutoCAD P&ID and Plant 3D DWF Output Settings
If you need to review Plant 3D project drawings outside of Plant 3D you have a couple of options to choose from:
- You can use the Export to AutoCAD option from the Project Manager menu to create a standalone AutoCAD file that contains no process data
- You can create a Navisworks model that contains some of the process data
- You can publish your drawings to DWF or DWFx format - and you can choose whether or not to include process data in the exported files.
But, did you know that you can determine which property fields are included in the DWF export if you enable the data export? When you have the project open in Plant 3D you can enter DWFOUTPUTSETTINGS at the command prompt and choose the P&ID property fields that you wish to include in the DWF file. Similarly, if you enter DWFOUTPUTSETTINGS3D at the command prompt you can choose the property fields to include from a Plant 3D model file. Any changes you make will come into effect the next time you publish a DWF or DWFx file
