Introduction
Table styles define properties for table cell styles, such as text style and height, border properties, table direction and cell margins. The standard templates in the AutoCAD software include a single predefined style named Standard. You can create custom styles as required in the Table Style dialogue box, as shown.

- The text style and size for each cell should be set in the table style, but you can also modify it in the Text Editor contextual tab as you enter the text.
- The number of rows and columns is specified when you insert the table. They are not defined in the style.
- Table styles do not include any values for the table cells.
How To: Create a Table Style
- In the ribbon, Home tab>expanded Annotation panel click Table Style or in the Annotate tab>Tables panel, select the setting arrow.
- Click New.
- Type a name for the table style and select and select an existing style as the starting template.

- Click Continue
- In the New Table Style dialogue box, you can select a table to use as a starting point in the Starting table area, and specify the table direction in the General area
- In the Cell styles area, select the cell style you want to modify in the list or create a new style. The Data, Header and Title options are included with the Standard style.
- For each cell style, work through the tabs for General, Text and Borders
- Click OK to return to the Table Style dialogue box
- Select a style to be current and click Set Current.
- Click Close.
You can create as many table styles as you wish. The example below shows the predefined Standard Table Style on the left and a new table style named Schedule on the right.
In Properties you can switch between table styles.
