What is the Undo Utility?
Undo is a useful feature in many of the programs which have an “Insert” command e.g. in the building program if you ”Insert” 10 rooms and decide to edit room 8, Undo will remove all rooms, one at a time, each time Undo is selected.
There is also a Hidden Undo function in most of the programs. This is the “Right-Click” feature when defining a room or inserting a pipe or duct. If you are inserting a duct with 20 changes of direction or height and you have reached section 12, right-clicking the mouse button will remove a duct section back to the previous bend, one with each right-click. Using Undo would remove the complete duct length.
Programs such as Energy do not have an undo option as the program reports the calculations performed. You can “redo” the Energy calculation simply by editing a Room Profile temperature or similar.
Where can I find Undo?
Undo can be found in the Edit tabs in many of the programs or can be summoned by the simultaneous pressing of the Ctrl + Z keys.
What is the maximum number of Undo’s possible?
There does not appear to be a predetermined limit, so you could Insert 10 emitters, add a flow Pipe, Clone the Returns and then Autoconnect Emitters and then calculate. Using undo would first remove all final connections, then remove the cloned return and then each of the emitters, one by one. If you use the Save option, this will not affect the actions of Undo, however, moving from Building to Energy or any other program will remove all actions from the Undo memory.
What if I never make mistakes?
You can Switch Off the Undo Feature.
For this use the Home page>Utilities>Defaults.
The opening selection will default to “Build.” Use the dropdown arrow on the right to select “General”.
Double-clicking on the Value will allow editing. 1 = On. 0 = Off.
I hope this saves you time and thank you for your interest.
