When creating and laying out a potentially large wiring schematic, at some point you might start to wonder how many more Main Boards, Switches, Final Boards etc can I add before I reach the maximum allowed quantity for each item?
There is a very straightforward function to show this detail as the distribution schematic develops. This information can be easily found whilst in Sub Mains mode by selecting the Summary icon which is located in the Display Ribbon.
In the Results Summary dialog, the third section down shows how many of each type of item are being used in the Wiring project, plus what the maximum allowed number/quantity of that item is.
This example uses the Results Summary from the included example Wiring project, Multi System.CYW:
- There are 152 Main Boards with a maximum of 500.
- There are 332 Main Cables with a maximum of 2500.
- There are 118 Final Boards/Loads with a maximum of 500.
- There are 5 Supply Systems with a maximum of 6.
- There are 4 Generators with a maximum of 10.
Please note the following details for how the number of each item type is summated:
- The item count of Main Boards includes Switches and Bus Bar Taps.
- The item count of Cables includes Bus Bars.
- The item count of Final Boards includes General Loads. For Spilt Section Final Boards, both the Parent-Section and the Sub-Sections are included in the Total Board Count.
e.g. A four section Spilt Board counts as 5 boards: the Parent Section plus the four Sub-Sections.
