MEPworx now includes a selection of generic gPV fuses which have been added to the '18thEditionCPD' and the GenericMCB 2015_18_2 CPD DBs.
For example, shown below are details of the ‘PV Fuse 2.25-30A 1500V dc’.
These gPV fuses can be imported into your Wiring project’s CPD DB, for the design and set-up of your new Photo Voltaic (PV) projects. (For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Import process to combine CPD DBs, please go to the Help tab on the MEPworx front screen. Select the Electrical Tutorial and go the section ‘Merging databases together (Import Database)’.which can be found in the CPD Database section.)
When the gPV fuses are in your Wiring project’s CPD DB and you are setting up the cabling for the Invertor, the gPV fuses can be picked from the CPD dialog.
As the calculations are performed in the ‘PV Solar Sizing’ dialog, the required fuse rating will be taken from the appropriate sized fuse in the range.
This detail is also confirmed in the Printed report produced for the PV Array.
You can see in these screen shots that the selected CPD Type for the Invertor and the Array is the
‘PV Fuse 2.25-30A 1500V dc’. The 8.0A rating has been calculated for each of the paralleled PV strings.
The fuse rating for the whole Array will be reported when you are back in Sub Mains mode.
Here you can see the calculated fuse rating is shown as 30A.
