Question:
Can you use GeoPackage Files in MapThat?
Answer:
Yes, the latest version of MapThat allows you to both import and export GeoPackage files.
Using the Spatial Importer tool, users can now choose GeoPackage as the import file format.
And then open any GeoPackage file into your MapThat session.
In addition, using the Data Table you can also export your MapThat Layers as a GeoPackage file. For example, here we have opened the Liverpool Schools layer into MapThat, then from the Data Table > choose Export to GIS and now choose the GeoPackage file format.
Once opened the GeoPackage file will be in your downloads folder….
and can then be opened as required in your desktop GIS e.g. QGIS for advanced analysis.
