Question:
When adding a new User and associating them to a DynamicMaps Application as an Administrator or Read Only Access e.g. Address & Street Management, what should I choose for the Expiry Date?
Answer:
Using the DynamicMaps Security Module you can create new Admin and Read Only Users for Applications such as LLPG, Grounds Maintenance, Rounds, Land Referencing and MapThat Admin Forms.
Once the new User has been created you can then associate them to the chosen Application using the User – Application Roles tab in the Administration - Security section.
Choose the Add button to create a relationship between the User and Application you wish to grant access to.
In this example, we will associate the User David to the LLPG as Read/Write.
Finally, you should choose when you wish access to that Application to end for the User. To do this click on the calendar popup by the Expiry Date and choose an end date e.g. one year time – 31/12/2024.
Alternatively, if you wish the User to have continual access to the Application, then you can simply leave the Expiry Date blank.
The new User - Application Roles record will be created, where the User David now has Read-Write Access to the LLPG Application, and because there is no Expiry Date, David will have continual access to that application – until otherwise changed.
