MapThat v6 onwards now provides direct compatibility with ESRI ArcGIS Feature Services.
This means that if you or your clients have spatial datasets stored within ESRI ArcGIS Online, you can now create layers within MapThat that directly connect to those sources…. so, no need to continuously export and import Shapefiles!
The new MapThat ‘ESRIWMS’ Feature Type will render ESRI Feature Services as WMS Tiled data, which is the fastest way to render layers within a webGIS…. Perfect for large and complex datasets!... such as Planning Applications.
And while these new ESRIWMS layers are super-fast they also have the added advantage of allowing uses to click on features in the map to interrogate the attributes of each layer.
And your MapThat Admin users also have full control over how Point, Line and Polygon layers are styled within the map… for example styling TPO point data as Tree symbols.
The DynamicMaps Team is proud of this enhancement and hope it enables current and future users to directly link to many more datasets, reducing time spent having to export and import different data types.
