I was recently testing some different ceiling grid patterns in Revit and wondering if there was an alternative way to show ceiling grids.
Revit Ceilings, grids and patterns are great for repeating patterns, but what if you wanted to vary the patterns, or had a bespoke ceiling?
I looked into the idea of using a curtain system, as this allows your to specify:
Any type of grid combination
Any type of panel material
Any type of panel thickness
To do this, you need to create a sloped glazed roof, without an angle, and offset it from the floor level.
This allowed me to produce the following example:

There are some issues with this, such as having to use face hosted families to be able to attach to the panels. But hopefully this helps demonstrate a possible solution.
