Revit MEP has been out for several releases now but there are still some strange omissions in some of the default project templates provided. One of these is the absence of a dashed centreline for round ductwork and pipework.
This is however a very easy thing to address and is one of the many things we tend to look at on our Revit MEP Template Creation Course here at Cadline. All we need to do is adjust the object style definition for ducts which will then present the objects correctly throughout the whole project.
This can be located in the Manage Tab; Object Styles adjust the settings as shown in the image below.
It may also be necessary to edit the line patterns in the template as the dashes tend to be too long to be suitable for typical building plans. I will cover that task in a future blog.
