Introduction
In Revit 2019, there was no easy way to create elliptical walls. The only workaround was to create a mass and then apply “wall by face”. In Revit 2020, the elliptical wall feature is now directly integrated.
- Click the Wall tool on the Ribbon and hover your cursor over the new Ellipse tool on the draw panel. A short video demonstrating the tools use will be loaded.
Work interactively when placing the wall by pressing the space bar to change the orientation. Follow the prompts on the status bar to place two radii when placing the elliptical wall. You can also use this tool to create elliptical openings in floor slabs as illustrated on the blog cover intro.
