There are times when you may need to add a hyperlink to a component or element in Navisworks, such as Manufacturers Technical Data Sheet or Maintenance Schedule Data.
In the Scene View, select the desired geometry item (pipe for example), you will note that it let you know the quick properties (1). Select Links – Add Links (2)
In the Add Link dialog box, enter the name for the link in the Name box (3).
In the Link to File or URL box, type in the full path to the URL address (4).
Choose the category for your link from the Category drop-down list. by default, your link has hyperlink category (5).
The link stays within the Navisworks environment, allowing other users to select the URL for clarification.
Note: - If you have 3rd parties that use Freedom Viewer, the link remains.
