Question:
How can you insert an image into a Bubble in MapThat?
Answer:
In MapThat 5.2.4 we are pleased to announce that we have re-introduced the option to embed Images into your MapThat Bubbles!
To embed an image into your bubble you need to:
1 – enter the field name (from your source table) that contains the URL for an image, as the value into the corresponding VE_BUBBLE.LARGE_COLUMN.
2 - ensure that you add this field into the list of fields that are exposed for your bubble.
For example, below we have a layer of incidents that were entered using the Cadline ReportIt application.
In the bubble associated to this layer, we have chosen the LARGE_COLUMN field to be the AFTERPICTURE column from the source incidents table.
Here are the URL values for the images in the source tables AFTERPICTURE field.
If we also ensure that this field is exposed in the Layer Attributes:
When you now view the Bubble for this layer, the image contained in the AFTERPICTURE URL is now exposed in the MapThat Bubble!
In addition to inserting an image into a Simple MapThat Bubble, you can also update your HTML bubbles with the text at the bottom of this notepad, so that it inserts an image using a URL from a specified column in your source data:
When viewed in MapThat the HTML bubbles now insert an image into the bubble!
