Question:
Is it possible to not show the MapThat Terms and Conditions?
Answer:
From MapThat 5.4.1 we have introduced a Terms and Conditions popup for Users to Agree to before they can access MapThat.
As MapThat Admin User you can choose if the Terms and Conditions Popup is shown per User and whether it is shown when using the Open Access option.
Open Access –
In the MapThat Admin Forms, navigate to the Page Settings options and search for – Licence.
This will return the setting that controls if the Terms and Conditions (licence) popup is shown when using the Open Access User for MapThat. Choose Y if you which to show the popup or choose N if you wish to hide the popup.
If the value is set to Y, then when users login to MapThat using the Open Access Tick box from the login screen…
The Terms and Conditions popup will be shown, and the user must scroll to the bottom and Agree to the terms…
… before they can continue to the main map page.
The Terms and Conditions popup will continue to be shown for the Open Access User, unless you change the setting to be N.
Per User -
By default, each User for MapThat must now Agree to the Terms and Conditions before they can login and access the main map.
However, once the User agrees to the Ts&Cs, the Users profile is updated in the Users table to record that they have agreed and the date of agreement. Once these values are recorded in the User table, the next time the User logs into MapThat they will not be re-shown the Terms and Conditions popup.
