Question:
Can I use the DynamicMaps Rapid Address Finder to identify the nearest locations to my address?
Answer:
Yes, having ran an address search e.g. Church Rise, click on the property from the list…
…and then choose the Select Property button.
The Rapid Address Finder will then auto open the Full Address details page for the chosen Address record, and to the right a map window will show the Address location using Ordnance Survey basemapping.
The DynamicMaps Rapid Address Finder Full Address details page provides all the core details about the address including:
- Full Address
- UPRN – Unique Property Reference Number
- USRN – Unique Street Reference Number
- Road Status
- Easting & Northing
- Ward
- BLPU Class – e.g., RD06 Residential Flat
- Logical Status
In addition, the Full Address details page lists any other details that you wish to add, such as is the Address record on a Red Route.
Finally, the Full Address details page also provides options to run any number of Find My Nearest routines.
- simply choose your topic from the drop-down list… for example what are the nearest Secondary Schools
- Choose the distance you are willing to travel e.g., nothing farther than 3km
… and then press the Find button…
The bottom of the window then updates to show you the list of Nearest Secondary Schools from the selected address.
To view more details for that School record, choose the blue hyperlink text showing the UPRN of that record and the full details of the Secondary School and the map location are shown.
You can run any number of Find My Nearest searches against any number of property types,.. simply click in the list to choose an alternate property type.. e.g. Care Homes.
The DynamicMaps Rapid Address Finder is therefore a great tool to allow your users to view Full Address details for your Address records, as well as options to undertake spatial analysis to identify the nearest Services to those Addresses.
