A handy new feature in Civil 3D 2015 is the ability to view pipes and structures correctly in sections views.
In the situation below the sample line at CH 450 clips three manholes:
In previous versions of Civil 3D the section view would be drawn as if the sample line passed through the centre of the manholes:
But in Civil 3D 2015 you can ‘slice’ the manholes as a solid to show how much of the structure is actually visible per cross section.
This is achieved by selecting a structure then Structure Style and choosing the display method as shown below.
A similar switch is available in the Pipe Style panel.
