I often have support requests from customers who are working with imported data from other CAD systems, or have simply downloaded 3rd party content for use in their designs. Following this, I thought I would quickly share with everyone, something new that I saw today in Autodesk Inventor 2012.
Inventor 2012 has the ability to inspect and repair surface data in a new 'Repair' environment. If you have imported an IGES file for example, you can check and fix any data that's problematic.
Apart from being available on the 'Ribbon' and Brower right-click menus, like a lot of Inventor commands, these tools can also be readily be accessed directly from the 'Mini Toolbars' in 2012!
