If you are new to Revit, one of the things you must consider is ‘Project Units’. Setting Revit project units may sound trivial, but they are the one thing everyone should know about. To run ‘Project Units’ dialog box on Revit ribbon go to Manage (1) Project Units (2) or use keyboard shortcut UN.
If you are UK based, just expand each cell on the right under ‘Format’ and select the same items, you see in the following.
