With the release of AutoCAD Electrical 2026, we will be releasing the ARKANCE UK Localiser 2026, which will operate with AutoCAD Electrical 2026, 2025, & 2024. Adding to the already long list of comprehensive functionality and content, the following will be included in the new release. Further information on the benefits of the ARKANCE UK Localiser can be found in the overview:
- New enhanced & intuitive installer to allow installations as Standalone, Network, and Additional PC installations.
Enhancements and improvements for mechanical engineers specialising in pneumatic, hydraulic, or P&ID systems utilising AutoCAD Electrical, therefore boosting productivity and software usability for their specific disciplines.
- Pneu/Hyd/PID + ribbon > Other Tools pane > Symbol Builder command.
Symbol Builder in some instances loaded the legacy symbol builder command. This has now been corrected, and it now loads AESYMBUILDER
-
Pneu/Hyd/PID + ribbon > Pipes/Pipe Numbers pane > Pipe Numbers
A new Flip Pipe Number command has been added to the dropdown menu
- Pneu/Hyd/PID + ribbon > Circuit Clipboard
A new Circuit Clipboard pane has been added to the ribbon.
These commands mirror those found on the Schematic ribbon, but allow pneumatic, hydraulic, or P&ID engineers to minimize switching between ribbons.
N.B. The order of the panes can be adjusted by dragging and dropping the respective pane to the required position and then the workspace saved.
Additionally, for the electrical engineer, enhancements that boost clarity in drawing documentation have been added to the ARKANCE UK Localiser.
Electrical + ribbon > Panel pane >
- New command
Footprint Cross Reference - this annotates the schematic parent cross-reference information on to the panel footprint. This requires the panel footprint to have a XREF (cross-reference) attribute within the block.
The blocks used to add intelligence to footprints, whether new or existing, now include an XREF attribute to facilitate the ability to cross reference the footprint with the associated parent schematic component.
