Recently I have found that many users have Revit installed but do not have any templates or libraries installed. Although the libraries can be downloaded and installed later, it is usually desirable to have the content installed at the same time as the main application.
This can all be achieved when setting up the installation on the accounts page. It can also be set when defining software deployment packages for larger organisations. The following assumes the former scenario.
On the Autodesk Accounts Page, visit all products and services section, https://manage.autodesk.com/products
(Login required)
Select Revit
This page should display the software version, updates and content download menu pages.
Select the desired version, extensions and updates as required.
Click on libraries.
Choose UK Libraries (and download), once downloaded run the content installer, by default it will place the content on the system drive and create shortcuts via Windows places.
The libraries can be installed at any time, alternatively Revit content can be download directly from this Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN) page.
Specific region and version content can be selected from a list. The list also contains links to Revit LT content and sample files.
