Using the Select Similar command, how do I fine-tune the selection settings?

Cancel any active command, and enter SELECTSIMILAR on the command line, it will return a response of “Select objects or [SEttings]”, choose SEttings, either by entering SE or by the right-click mouse menu...this will display a Select Similar Settings dialogue box listing check boxes for Color, Layer, Linetype, Linetype Scale, Lineweight, Plot Style, Object Style, and Name.
