When creating assemblies in inventor you will probably find yourself using constraints or joints to position your parts. These relationships then become visible under the relevant parts involved and hovering over them identifies the included geometry.
With a lot of parts, this could be time consuming and make specific constraints difficult to navigate to.
There is also a folder at the top of the browser named ‘Relationships’ listing all the constraints and joints within the assembly. These icons also highlight their association in the model when selected. However, this can still be difficult to navigate as the relationships do not show which components are associated until you select them.
This can be easily rectified by navigating to Application Options > Assembly and selecting “Display component names after relationship names”.
Now each relationship has the relevant component names next to them, making them easier to navigate without burying down into your assembly.
