Building service plans are frequently required to show where new equipment is to be installed or modified, left as existing or to be removed. This can be done with layers but putting different elements onto those different layers can be a little tedious.
The colour revision add-in makes this a little easier by providing a dialogue with the 4 options and when selecting an element, for example a lighting fixture on a lighting layer, places that element on a suitable layer i.e. a new lighting fixture onto a layer called ‘Lighting New’. It also devises a colour scheme, also this can always be altered in the layer manager and saved in a template. As well as place elements on appropriate layers the add-in also provides the option of an attributed block giving the date of install or modification.
Although primarily intended for Electrical, this add-in can be used for any discipline as it will apply a suffix name to any element provided it is on a correct layer to begin with.
