Guide Grids is a very useful tool to get different views on a sheet to line up with other views on the same sheet AND provide a consistency with other View positions in a Revit Sheet Set. Like Ground and First Floor plans, which will provide a professional aspect to any drawing issuing process.
Different styles can be configured for difference size of sheets as an A3 Sheet may require a tighter grid than say an A0 sheet. The style name and settings can be set during creation and altered when selecting the grid in the properties dialogue.
I have also found Guide Grids useful in lining up disclaimer notes as guide grids will work with Reference Planes as well as gridline and level objects.
Place your view on a sheet using an method you desire. Personally I just drag and drop.. But there are alternate methods via the ribbon.
Personally I use the Move tool to reference the view to the grid.. Here it is a simple case of moving the view (using Reference Planes intersections) to the guide grid.
If the view was a Plan or a Section and Gridlines or Level Lines were visible they could be used as references instead.
After the task is complete the Grid can be deleted, although it is usually not necessary as it doesn't print.
The sheet as well as its sisters can now be printed in the knowledge that notes can be shown printed consistently!
