From time to time, whilst producing a metric drawing, an imperial dimension may be required. To save using conversion tables or a calculator, the “Imperial” dimension can be typed in directly using the following method.
Type in the number in feet followed by ‘, then the number of inches followed by “. Figure 1 shows a wall with a length of 10 feet 6 inches.
Adding a dimension with “Alternate Units” confirms the dimension is correct as shown in Figure 2.
