Introduction – Updated User Interface
In Revit 2026, the user interface (UI) has been updated with some tools being removed from the options bar and being repositioned in the context Modify Ribbon or within the Properties Palette. For example, if we select a wall and click on the move tool, we no longer see any options on the Options Bar. The move options are now accessed from the context area of the Modify Ribbon.

It is the same with the copy tool. With the wall still selected click on the copy tool. The Multiple copy option now resides on the Ribbon. It is the same thing again when we select rotate. The Copy, Place and Centre options also reside on the Ribbon. (Note: The Place option is now permanently enabled by default).

Another tool that has had its options moved to the Ribbon is the Array tool. If I select an object and choose Array all the options are once more found on the actual Modify Ribbon.

The last tool that we will focus on is the Wall Join tool. Select the Wall Join tool and then select a wall junction. Note that all the related options are on the extreme right side of the Ribbon.

Although not a major change, decluttering the options bar will make navigating the Ribbon a little easier. The option choices are certainly a lot clearer.
