Once items have been selected either in AutoCAD or another windows application and copied to the clip board, how can I “Paste” them in to an AutoCAD drawing file?
Answer
CTRL + V will paste the selected objects into most Windows applications. Using CTRL + SHIFT + V will also paste into AutoCAD but this time the selected objects will be inserted as a “Block”. This action is also on the right mouse click menu under the “Clipboard” section. This will work with most windows applications but not all programmes will accept AutoCAD objects.
