The final function that can be selected from the “Command Line” customise menu is “Options…” as shown in Figure 1.
Selecting the function “Options…” will take the user to the “Display” tab of AutoCAD “Options” dialogue box, as shown in Figure 2.
The reason for this option is to allow the user to change the colours of the elements relating to the “Command Line”, by selecting “Colors” another dialogue box is displayed, as shown in Figure 3.
In the top left of this dialogue box is the “Context” list. From this list select “Command Line”. The “Interface Elements” list now displays all the elements relating to the “Command Line”. Each element can be selected and the colour changed to suit the user, as in Figure 4.
Once the colour of the selected element has been changed, it will be displayed in the “Preview” section of the dialogue box. In the example below, the “Active Prompt Background” has been set to colour “142” and the “Active Prompt Text” has been set to “White”, as in Figure 5.
Selecting “Apply and Close” will retain the user defined colour settings and return back to the original “Options” dialogue box. “OK” this dialogue to retain the changes and apply the new colour settings to the application, as displayed in Figure 6.
