Making sure your Revit project is in the correct location on site can sometime be tricky when starting a new file. However, if using a point cloud, Faro PointSense for Revit can do this easily.
The first step would be to always check the coordinates in the point cloud first, in this case using Recap and moving the cursor over the point cloud:
In exactly the same way as acquiring coordinate from a linked. RVT or .DWG File, PointSense for Revit gives us the tool to do this with a Point Cloud:
We can then even use a spot coordinate to check the coordinates are in the same place:This gives us a really easy way to start a project at known coordinates to the Point Cloud of the Site.
