You can add, move and delete selection and search sets, and organise them into folders.
To save a search set:
- Open the Find Items window and set up the desired search criteria.
- Click the Find All button to run the search. All items that satisfy your criteria are now selected in the Scene View and the Selection Tree.
- Open the Sets window and click Save Search.
- Type a name for your search set, and press ENTER.
Search and selection sets can be updated. You can modify your current selection in the Scene View, or the current search criteria, and change the contents of your set to reflect this.
You can drag and drop items from the Scene View and the Selection Tree into the Sets window to create new selection sets.
You can import search sets from an XML file to use with your model. You can also import PDS display sets which are converted to search sets.
You can export search sets and reuse them. For example, if models contain the same components, such as steel structure, ventilation ductwork, and so on, you can define generic search sets, export them as an XML file, and share with other users.
