In the more recent versions of Vault, Autodesk has enhanced the Vault Browser in Inventor to work a lot more like Windows.
Quite a cool tip is to use the Keyboard ‘+’ (plus key) to expand the children quickly in the browser. You can also use ‘*’ (star Key) to expand even the sub-assemblies too.

Simple but a great way to expand things in the Browser.
