Profiles: Accessing VIP and Element based selections
There are 2 selection methods than can be used when editing a profile in Civil 3D; PVI based (VIP based) and entity based (Element based).
To access the correct selection tool users must first select either the PVI based or entity-based method from the Profile Layout Tools located towards the right of the toolbar. This will change the tool to the right allowing users to select the profile by VIP or by Element.
