The AutoCAD mobile app comes free with an AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT subscription. It can also be purchased separately if required. It provides users with the ability to create and modify drawings whilst on site , or otherwise ‘on the go’. A common question that is asked is how to enable these users to access blocks and symbols created from the AutoCAD Desktop application?
To do this a Cloud storage account is required, this can be on Autodesk Docs, OneDrive or Dropbox or similar. Once added they can be easily accessed by the mobile Apps side panel menu.

To share the block library so It can be accessed by the AutoCAD Web or mobile platform, create a shared folder on your provider and copy the library drawing(s) to it. This is often easily achieved by copying the file to a synchronised folder on the local device. The example below is using Dropbox, but it is a similar process for other solutions such as OneDrive.
Once complete use the Palette environment within normal AutoCAD, select the Libraries tab and browse to the file on the OneDrive or Dropbox etc. folder.
Dropbox or OneDrive will then sync to the cloud thereby making the block library files available for the mobile app to access and place components as required.
