Continuing with the series of blogs relating to the “Command Line”, this blog looks at the amount of text lines that can be displayed.
The next option in the menu list accessible by right clicking on the “Command Line” is “Line of Prompt History” as shown in Figure 1.
Selecting this option will activate the “Clipromptlines” system variable, this controls the number of lines of text that appear at the “Command Line”. This option is only active if the “Command Line” is not “Docked”. The lines of text are displayed as the commands are being used. The default is set to 3, as shown in Figure 2.
The value for the display of the number of text lines shown at the “Command Line” can be set between 0 and 50, Figure 3 shows the number of “Lines of Prompt History” set to 10.
