It’s that time of year again where users receive those point release updates for their Autodesk products.
Revit 2024 introduced many new features and this has been extended by the recent point release.
The new features include the ability to export drafting and model patterns to an ascii based PAT file, an option to optimise the complexity of the new Toposolid objects which will reduce computational overhead and thereby improve system performance. Improved shape editing tools for slab, roof and toposolid objects. The availability of visual styles in Type preview. Improved Rebar tag placement and length editing tools.
The ability to split with gap for structural framing and columns. Improved analytical member editing tools, enhanced browser navigation, text alignment, improved mapping of elements to MEP fabricated parts and Dynamo 2.18 which contains additional enhanced nodes and interface improvements.
I will post in more detail on these new enhancements in due course.
This update can be accessed from the Autodesk Access App or the Autodesk Account Page on:
https://accounts.autodesk.com/ (login required)
For a full list of fixes and enhancements, visit Revit 2024’s knowledge base page.
When successfully applied the Revit version should report as 24.1.0.66 20230701_1515(x64) 2024.1.0 as per the about box in the image below.
