You may have used or seen hyperlinks before in AutoCAD, usually pointing to a website or another file, but these can also be used to guide you through the drawing and layouts. A good example of this is the continuation of drawings or schematics on other sheets, or referencing sections and elevations.
This can be accessed using the HYPERLINK command, or going to the Insert tab> Data Panel>Hyperlink. Then click the object for the hyperlink. To make it link to a layout, click on the “View of This Drawing”:
Hyperlinks can be assigned to any object (not just text) and can be placed in model or paper space. They even transfer when exporting to PDF. Below is an example PDF showing all of these working:
