I was asked recently if it was possible to generate Revit pipework from lines e.g. from an imported CAD file or similar. The answer of course is yes when using Dynamo scripting!

Most of the script such as the selection and filtering of linework is done with standard out of the box nodes. The selection of the Pipe Type and system, with a get item at index node. The actual pipe generation tool itself is achieved by the MEPOver package; this package contains a useful set of nodes particularly for Revit MEP users. The pipe by lines node is highlighted in script image below. Finally, a code block and set parameter value by name node provides users the ability to adjust pipe elevations as required.
