Question
Revit 2011 products crash when attempting to replace material render appearance (Autodesk Revit has stopped working message appears)?
Answer
The crash is related to the render appearance library previews. The following process should prevent the crash from occurring. Go to materials, and the rendering tab, next to the preview image click in the down arrow icon to display shape options and render quality options. Set quality to Draft. Revit should no longer crash once the quality is set.
