I have seen an issue a few times recently (even on my own laptop) when previewing files in Vault. When you click on the thumbnail the Preview can display the following message.
Even though you know that you have Autodesk Design Review installed, it still says that it is required to view files.
There are a few solutions to this which basically is to uninstall the Vault Client and Design Review and re-install them. It appears to be a ‘glitch’ with the DWGImporter.dll registration.
Before you go for the uninstall and reinstall, you could try re-register this DLL as follows:-
- Open a Windows Command Prompt
- Type in regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Autodesk Design Review 2013\DWGImporter.dll"
This should register the DLL.
