From a recent question, the “Text” has been created in “Paper Space” and appears as per Figure 1.

However, when the drawing is either viewed via “Plot Preview” or a “Plot” was to be created, the “Text” is rotated through 90 degrees, as shown in Figure 2.

Checking the “Plot” settings via the “Plot” dialogue box, which appeared as per Figure 3.

Although the paper size is set ISO A1 (594 x 841 mm), the “Drawing Orientation” is set to “Landscape”, which displays the paper correctly in “Layout” space.
So, the problem must be with the “Text”. The setting in the “Text Style” are all correct as per Figure 4.

There is no need to use “Annotative” scaling in “Paper Space”, since the “Text” size doesn’t change.
Therefore, the problem is likely to a “Property” of the “Text”, selecting the “Text” and opening the “Properties” dialogue box as per Figure 5, revealed the solution.

In the “Text” rollout, the “Match Orientation to Layout” is set to “Yes”, and since the “Paper Size” was set to ISO A1 (594 x 841 mm), even though the “Drawing Orientation” is set to landscape, the “Text” rotates to suit the “Paper” size.
Setting the “Match Orientation to Layout” value to “No” corrected the “Text”, so it now appears as per Figure 6.

Changing the “Paper Size” from ISO A1 (594 x 841 mm) to ISO A1 (841 x 594 mm) would also have given the desired result, however depending on the “Plotter” this is not always an option.
