By default, when Civil 3D is installed Survey Databases, Equipment Databases and Figure Prefix Databases are saved in locations that may not be the most ideal for companies. Generally, by default the save locations are as described below:
Survey Databases
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Civil 3D Projects
Equipment Databases and figure Prefix Databases:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D[version]\eng\Survey\
The save locations can be changed by accessing the Survey User Settings and navigating to a file path that may be more appropriate for your company (See Fig 1).
