When working on interiors, it is often required to label elements describing such properties as material names and manufacturers. All too often users use text to label this information which does not coordinate with Revit’s Schedule views.
Fig. Revit Materials can contain property data as well as visual characteristics!
Material tag elements are ideal for this purpose because they can access the necessary property data sets and coordinate with any material take off report.
In the example elevation view below, some tags have been placed reporting wall finishes applied by the split face and paint tools.
Updating the material data here, within the schedule view or elsewhere in the project will automatically synchronise to all other model views. This saves time and ensures consistency of information stored within the project.
