The “Mask Border” can be increased or decreased to highlight specific text, by default this value is set to 1.5, as shown in Figure 1.
This value is based on the height of the text being used, since the default value for the “Border Offset Factor” is 1.5, this will extend the “Mask” background around the text by 0.5 of the height of the text.
For example, if the height of the text is 100 units, the background is extended by 0.5 of the height of the text, therefore the “Mask” will extend 50 units around the created text.
However, if the lowest settable value, which is 1.0 is used, the result will be to fit the “Mask” to the top and bottom edges of the “Multiline” text object, as shown in Figure 2.
Increasing the “Mask Border” factor to 3, expands the size of the “Mask”, the result as shown in Figure 3.
The “Mask Border” has a range between 1.0000 and 5.0000, if a value is entered outside these two values, a warning dialogue is displayed as shown in Figure 4.
