The default method of cross referencing is to use the Graphical Format which is defined in the Project Properties > Cross-References tab. This displays the cross-referencing using the AutoCAD Electrical graphical font or using contact mapping edit boxes while displaying each reference on a new line.
However, this methodology can be deemed a little restrictive in the style and the information that can be displayed.
An alternative to the above is to use the Table Format and this document shows you how it can be customised to suit a specific company’s requirements
