How can I adjust the number of backup files that Revit makes with component family and project files?
Answer:
The number of backups can be set in options within the File Save dialogue box.
For most purposes, 3 backup copies is adequate. It should be noted Work shared project backups are controlled differently and can be accessed by a Project roll-back feature. This should be used with caution and if in doubt, consult the project team leader before performing this operation.
