How can I purge multiple AutoCAD drawings at the same time, without opening them?
Answer:
The easiest and best way of efficiently achieving this task is to make use of an AutoCAD Add-in called drawing purge.

This Add-in has been around for several years and has been recently updated to work with all AutoCAD versions from 2012 – 2022.
It purges not only standard AutoCAD elements, but also 3rd party entities like DGN linetypes, Regapps and cleans up annotative scale lists. The application will diagnose any attached Xrefs that need purging as well.
As with all add-ins the application only works with full AutoCAD versions and cannot be used with AutoCAD LT.
