Vault users have reported getting permission errors when using Find to search for files.
This can happen with the Vault add-ins or the basic Find in the Vault client. This is because by default, the user searches for "any" type of content, which includes Items and Change Orders. If "files" are selected from the drop down, basic search will work, assuming the user has permissions for files only, which is very common with File centric Vault configurations.
If the users/groups that get this error would be given the Item Editor (level 1&2) and Change Order Editor (1&2) roles the search for “any” would work. In the advanced find, even if the results are set to "any", the search will work if the user selects a file only property. If the selected property is associated with files, items and COs (i.e. Created by), the user would get the same error in the advanced find.
