Adding a “Block” Listing Table into the Drawing.
Following on from the previous blog, “Accessing the “Count” command”, the “Count” command can also be used to import a “Table” listing of the “Blocks” within a drawing.
This can be accomplished by selecting the icon in the top left of the “Count” panel as shown in Figure 1.
Once selected, a check box will appear to the left of the “Name” in the “Table Header” and to the left of each “Block” listed in the table, the “Cancel” and “Insert” buttons at the bottom of the panel are now also displayed and are active, as shown in Figure 2.
Checking the box to the left of “Name” in the title will automatically check all the boxes next to the “Block” names, as shown in Figure 3.
Select “Insert” to add the “Table” containing the “Block” names and corresponding quantities into the drawing as shown in Figure 4.
The “Block” names are added as “Text” in the first column, but the “Block Counts” are added as “Fields” in the second column.
Note: - The created “Table” will not automatically update like the “Count” panel, so if there is a change to the number of “Blocks” with in the drawing, a “Save” or “Regen” is required to complete the update.
